ONE OR EIGHT Celebrate “ONE OR EIGHT Day” With First Live EP and Online Concert

October 8 wasn’t just another date on the calendar for ONE OR EIGHT fans—it was “ONE OR EIGHT Day,” and the group made sure it was one to remember. The rising Japanese boy group dropped their first live EP, SHŪKAI FINAL in TOKYO – Live Highlights, and hosted a special online concert that premiered their newest track, “BET YOUR LIFE.”

A Live EP for the Fans

Recorded during the group’s “SHŪKAI Final in JAPAN” show at Zepp Haneda, the live EP captures the raw energy and emotion that has fueled ONE OR EIGHT’s growing popularity. Until now, tracks like “Spellbound” (first introduced during their pre-debut audition program WARPs DIG), “My Lil’ Heart Attack,” “Wanna Be With You,” and “DAY ONES” were only experienced in the heat of a concert crowd. The release now gives fans worldwide the chance to relive those moments.

Tracklist

  • Spellbound (Live ver.)

  • My Lil’ Heart Attack (Live ver.)

  • Wanna Be With You (Live ver.)

  • DAY ONES (Live ver.)

Streaming Encore and New Song Premiere

The celebration didn’t stop with the EP. ONE OR EIGHT launched the SHŪKAI FINAL Zepp HANEDA ENCORE – Online Live Show on October 8, giving international fans the chance to join virtually. The highlight of the stream was the debut live performance of “BET YOUR LIFE,” their latest single released September 19. For those who missed the premiere, archived streaming runs from October 15 through October 22 on Zan Live.

Who Are ONE OR EIGHT?

Formed with the motto “BET ON YOURSELF”, the eight-member group—MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA, and YUGA—stand for ambition and risk-taking. Their name comes from the Japanese idiom “ippuku ka yoka” (one or eight, meaning “all or nothing”), a fitting reflection of their bold approach to music and performance.

Since debuting in August 2024 with “Don’t Tell Nobody,” produced by Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Adele, Jonas Brothers) and David Stewart (BTS), ONE OR EIGHT has stacked up achievements fast:

  • Debut single hit No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Heatseekers Songs chart.

  • U.S. breakthrough with “KAWASAKI (with Big Sean),” which peaked at #5 on the U.S. iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap chart.

  • Named one of Nikkei Entertainment!’s “100 New Leading Artists” in 2025.

  • Winners of MTV VMAJ’s Upcoming Dance & Vocal Group award.

  • Made history as the first Japanese boy group to walk the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2025.

Looking Ahead

With their first live EP out and their online show marking a new era, ONE OR EIGHT continue to build momentum as one of Japan’s fastest-rising groups. If “ONE OR EIGHT Day” is any indication, fans can expect the group to keep betting on themselves—and winning big.
