[Concert Review] IVE Turns Rogers Stadium Into a Celebration of Connection

I went to see IVE at Rogers Stadium last night and had such a great time!

The solo performances really stuck out for me because they gave each member a chance to show off her own style and personality. It was nice getting a little glimpse of each idol outside of their group dynamic. There was such a range in style between the group, it was both surprising and easy to admire. There were so many little moments where you could see their personalities come through, and those moments ended up being some of my favourite parts during the night.

The biggest moment for me was when they performed “Rebel Heart” and “BANG BANG.” You could actually feel the energy in the crowd shift as soon as those songs started. Everyone seemed to get a little louder and more excited, and it felt like the entire arena went up another level. Those were definitely the moments where I looked around and thought, “Okay, everyone is really into this.” The songs just hit differently live, and hearing the crowd react to them was an experience on its own.

I also really loved the overall visual direction of the concert. Their costumes and stage design were artistic and thoughtfully put together. There was a good balance between being visually impressive and still letting IVE be the main focus. Despite all the amazing production, lights, screens, and effects happening around them, their stage presence never got lost in it. 

They really knoww how to work the stage and fill the entire stadium, (which is especially impressive in a venue that big.) You could really tell they were having fun on stage, which made it even more enjoyable to watch and be a part of.

One thing I really loved was seeing how diverse the crowd was, with people of all ages there. IVE really has a way of capturing the hearts of so many different people, especially the little girls who were absolutely living their best lives. It was so cute seeing little girls, teenagers, and full-grown adults all enjoying the same group. It’s one of the things I love about K-pop — how it can bring together people who might otherwise have very little in common, all in one place.

The members put so much effort into speaking English and communicating with the audience. You could tell they had practiced and were genuinely trying to connect with everyone. As someone who doesn’t speak Korean myself, I really appreciated that effort. Looking around the stadium, there were so many people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, all there enjoying the same music. I thought that was really special to see. 

It didn’t just feel like we were watching a concert, it felt like we were sharing the experience with them. The waves, smiles, dancing, and little exchanges between the members and the fans made the whole stadium feel so connected. What a concert! I’d definitely see IVE again!
